Many people are looking to make a steady, consistent income on the Internet. While there are many ways to go about doing that, one of the most popular and effective ways to do this is via having your own membership site(s).
What exactly is a membership site? A membership site is a site that contains important information on a specific topic or niche that will appeal to your target market. You usually restrict access to customers who pay a recurring fee (usually monthly or annually), though there are some membership sites that don’t require any fee, but just a submission of one’s name and email address.
Either way, you want to restrict access to the membership site to those who paid and/or provided their contact information to you because the information you provide should be more informative than just information you can find on any web page or in any free ebook.
This is the main reason why people are willing to pay for continuous access to your membership site – they can get high-quality information they can use to increase their profits that they can’t get elsewhere, or at least, can’t get as conveniently elsewhere (i.e. they need to gather the information themselves instead of you doing it for them).
